Resource Room Volunteer

Lifetrack Resources' computer lab is part of the Broadband Access Project, an initiative through the University of Minnesota's Urban Research and Outreach / Engagement Center. Volunteers would provide needed support to computer lab users while it is open to the public. The lab is primarily used by low income individuals from the surrounding area for assistance with job searching and improving their computer skills.

Volunteer responsibilities will consist of:

  • Assisting job seeking clients with the computer.
  • Assist client with resume and cover letter writing.
  • Assistance with filling out on-line applications.

Requirements:

  • Flexible time commitment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • General computer skills a must.
  • Previous knowledge of resume and cover letter writing, preferred.
  • Experience in filling out online job applications.
