Families Together Therapeutic Preschool works with young children who have experienced trauma and stress in their lives. Their families have one or more of the following issues: homelessness, child abuse or neglect or risk of child abuse or neglect, domestic violence, parents challenged by mental health, physical health, or chemical health. And these issues have had strong effects on the children that we serve.
This volunteer position offers a strong support role to staff. It will free up staff to take a break from being non stop with children for ten hours on one day a week. And, in the end, the benefit for children will be huge.
Volunteer responsibilities will consist of:
- Assist Families Together Preschool staff by helping to clean the preschool at two office sites.
- Clean and disinfect toys, tables, food areas, floors and dishes.
- Clean other general preschool areas as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Time commitment of every Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at our University Avenue location, and / or every Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at our Eastside St. Paul location.
- Ability to take direction from supervisor.
- Great organizational skills.
