Speech / Language Pathologist

Summary:
Seeking qualified speech pathologists interested in on call / weekend coverage of adult clients in an acute hospital setting. Hospitals are located in St. Paul and eastern suburbs. This position may have the potential for regular hours.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation and treatment to adult clients for a variety of diagnoses, including aphasia, dysarthria, cognition, and swallowing. Evaluations will include clinical speech/language and cognitive evaluation, bedside swallow assessment, and video fluoroscopic swallow studies. Must be independent with dysphagia evaluations and treatment. A qualified therapist will be effective, not only in providing speech therapy services, but in time management, completion of the necessary documentation, and communication with other professionals.

Education:
Must hold a certificate of clinical competence in speech pathology and be eligible for MN licensure in speech pathology.

Requirements:
Experience with adult clients preferred.

• On call / occasional weekend days with the potential for possible growth into regular hours.
