What's New:
Greater Minnesota Assessment Service Welcomes Two New Psychologists


Lifetrack Resources' Greater Minnesota Assessment Service (GMAS) is excited to announce that beginning March 2009, two new psychologists, who are qualified to work with Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing children and youth, will be available to provide psychosocial assessments and conduct presentations and trainings statewide.  The two psychologists joining GMAS are Dr. Robin Santa-Teresa, PsyD and Dr. Candice Tate, PhD. 

Robin Santa-Teresa, PsyD, is licensed as a clinical psychologist and a school psychologist in Colorado. Dr. Santa-Teresa earned a Masters of Science in developmental psychology with a focus on sign language development from the University of New Mexico. She graduated from Gallaudet’s school psychology program in 1987.   Dr. Santa-Teresa worked as a school psychologist with deaf and hard of hearing children for 15 years prior to returning to school to complete her doctorate of professional psychology (PsyD).  She completed her PsyD at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky where she studied Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology.

Candice M. Tate, PhD, is an independent licensed psychologist in Colorado and a national consultant on deaf and hard of hearing systems of mental health care. She is also the co-founder of the National Coalition on Mental Health and Deafness. Hard of Hearing herself, she graduated with her doctorate from Gallaudet University’s Clinical Psychology Program. In her private practice, she conducts assessments for vocational rehabilitation. Prior to her current work, Dr. Tate has worked extensively with general assessments at the Deaf Wellness Center in Rochester, NY and with ADHD assessments at the Maryland Center for Attention Deficit Disorders.

Previously accepted assessment and presentation requests will be scheduled March through May, 2009 with Dr. Santa-Teresa and Dr. Tate.
