GREATER MINNESOTA ASSESSMENT SERVICE
FOR DEAF, DEAFBLIND AND HARD OF HEARING CHILDREN AGES 0-21
After students were an assessed by a psychologist for the GMAS program,
their teachers had the following comments:
"The psychologist only met the student once, but the assessment
reads as if he knew her well, my staff and I are looking forward to working
on the recommendations made for the student next year."
"The assessment and recommendations were helpful, the school
continues to provide multimodal approach and her language is improving."
"the assessment for the student was very helpful. I am grateful
to have another person knowledgeable of deaf and hard of hearing students,
with no bias, doing the testing. The psychologist followed through with
the student's doctor and that was very helpful, the student had some test
the doctor was previously resisting and now the student is on medications
to help her behavior."
"I was very pleased with the evaluation. The testing reinforced
the educational program planning that the school had initiated. I am very
happy with the services delivered to the school and student."
