|
Transitions PlusTransitions Plus is a transitional work program operated by Lifetrack Resources. Subsidized jobs have been made available to participants at Packaging First, a division of Lifetrack that provides efficient packaging and assembly services to businesses while providing training for persons with challenges to employment. During 2008, Transitions Plus received a one year grant to serve 50 low-income individuals. Participants were referred to the program through Ramsey County MFIP providers, and all program participants were refugees and legal immigrants who were not yet US citizens. Of the individuals who successfully completed the training program, 66 percent of them have obtained full time, unsubsidized employment. During 2009, Lifetrack Resources received additional funding from Ramsey County to provide continued transitional work training at Packaging First as well as additional transitional work training with Head Start. |
