Lifetrack Resources AmeriCorps Program

AmeriCorps is a National Service program and is sometimes referred to as the "domestic Peace Corps."
Listed below are the benefits of serving and helping to solve community problems related to employment, education and basic human needs.

  • Education award if term is completed successfully - $4,725 for full-time members and $2,362.50 for part-time members.
  • Living Allowance - approximately $925/month gross for full-time members and $445/month gross for part-time members regardless of start date.
  • Regular holidays off.
  • Americorps member gear.
  • Health insurance available for full-time members.
  • Child care reimbursement available for full-time members who qualify.
  • Loan Forbearance available for most student loans and all or a portion of interest paid after successful completion of term. Applicable to both full-time and part-time members.
  • Internship credit possible for students enrolled in applicable coursework.


    Lifetrack Resources has the following positions available beginning September 4, 2007 - August 31, 2008

    Business Services Assistant
    Assisting jobseekers who complete training to prepare for and secure employment. Preparing prescreened candidates for onsite interviewing. Jobseekers are people leaving welfare, refugees and immigrants and people with disabilities.

    Employment Support for People with Disabilities
    Assisting individuals with disabilities to prepare for and secure employment. Develop career plans that lead to job retention and job advancement. Assist with mock interviewing to prepare individuals for job interviews. Provide job coaching on the job or away from the job.

    Employment Support for Refugees and Immigrants and People leaving welfare
    Assist jobseekers in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining employment. Assist in eliminating barriers to employment. Assist in finding jobs well matched to employment goals.
