2007 Early Childhood and Family Services Outcomes

Early Childhood and Family Services helped 1,305 at-risk children and family members in Ramsey County build better lives by developing children's strengthens for success in school and in life and parents' abilities to increase family health and stability. In all of our early childhood and family services, staff helped families identify strengths and areas of need, develop a family support plan and assist families in meeting their children's needs.

  • 98% of the children enrolled in Families Together for at least six months improved their rate of development in one or more areas (physical, cognitive, speech and language, and social-emotional)
  • 100% of parents used three or more new community resources, increasing support systems to meet their child's basic needs.
  • 100% of children had their medical needs met by discharge from the Families Together Program.
  • Families Together is the only therapeutic preschool and home visiting program in Ramsey County for children in poverty who are abused or neglected.
  • We have been able to increase our capacity overall to 80 children in classroom-based services and 248 through home-based services, moving us significantly toward our goal of having serving at least half of Ramsey County's at risk children.
