Families Together Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the Families Together Program, a child and their family must meet four eligibility criteria:

  • Age - child must be between two years-nine moths and five years old, and not eligible for kindergarten or special education
  • Residence - child lives in the Frogtown, Summit-University or Eastside neighborhoods
  • Child's need - child is experiencing difficulty in at least one developmental area (speech and language, motor, cognitive, social, emotional)
  • Family need - Family is low income and facing at least one of the following issues:
    • Homelessness or inadequate housing
    • Child abuse or neglect, or at risk of abuse or neglect
    • Domestic Violence
    • Parenting ability challenged by mental health, physical health, or chemical heath of the caregiver
    • Prenatal exposure of the child to drugs or alcohol
